Emily grew up in Clayton, North Carolina. She graduated with her Bachelor’s in Speech and Hearing Sciences with a minor in Human Development and Family Sciences from East Carolina University in 2020. Emily later went on to receive her Master’s in Communication Sciences and Disorders from East Carolina University in 2022. She has experience treating patients in a variety of settings including pediatric private practice, acute care, inpatient, and outpatient rehabilitation. She has treated both pediatric and adult patients with a broad range of diagnoses including expressive/receptive language disorders, articulation/phonological disorders, apraxia of speech, autism spectrum disorder, dyslexia, fluency disorders, swallowing and voice disorders. Emily’s favorite thing about working with the pediatric population is developing long lasting relationships with the patient and their families as well as watching their skills progress over time. In her free time, she enjoys going to the beach, traveling, and watching movies with friends and family. Emily practices out of the Cary and Knightdale offices.
