What Our Clients Are Saying
My son, Bryson, has been a patient at Abilitations since the day they opened. He and I have found the therapists who work there to be generous with their expertise, kind with their words, and compassionate. Rather than try to apply a textbook fix to each boy or girl, they work to learn, understand, and address the individual needs of each child. They are especially good at putting a focus on ways to improve the quality of life for each patient through therapy. Perhaps the highest praise I can offer is that my son thinks of Abilitations as a place where he meets some friends and I think of it as a place where I can trust people to help us care for him.
The reception we receive each and every week when we walk through the front door of Abilitations Children’s Therapy is warm and friendly making my child and me feel immediately at ease and welcome. The collaboration between therapists gives me the confidence that my child is looked at in a holistic and all-encompassing way. The therapists are professional, kind, supportive, and genuine in their care delivery. I truly feel my child has grown exponentially because of the therapists’ knowledge, dedication, love, and overall well-being of my child
Our family loves Abilitations Children’s Therapy & Wellness Center. They have an excellent staff which are all very caring, knowledgeable, and professional. My daughter has been going to therapy at Ablitations for 15 years. Her physical therapist has become part of our family and we are forever grateful for all the care, support and encouragement our daughter has received from her. Her PT has helped our daughter build confidence and achieve many goals. She always enjoys going to therapy and looks forward to it each week. Even though she is working hard to achieve new goals, the therapist at Abilitations know how to make it fun.
I highly recommend Ablitations if you are looking for an amazing therapy team who cares about your child. You could not ask for a better team of therapists. My 14 year old daughter, Lauren, who has cerebral palsy, started at Abilitations when she was 6 months old. The patience, love and attentiveness they have given her and us has been a gift and a blessing. Especially the patience, as she could be stubborn lol! They really took the time to get to know her and what worked well for her. As a parent they took time to show me how to help Lauren outside of therapy. Her physical therapist has become like family after working together for 14 years. Lauren has made huge strides in her abilities which we attribute in great part to Abilitations!
I brought my son to Abilitations for speech therapy after he had his lip and tongue tie released and was still experiencing some challenges with certain sounds. We saw one of their therapists weekly and after just a few months we saw a huge improvement in his speech . The therapist we worked with was kind, patient and made the session fun for him which was a huge bonus. The office was bright and clean and everyone was always so friendly. We are so grateful to the staff at Abilitations. They truly are a standout amongst the rest and because of this we continue to recommend them to friends and family.
We moved to Raleigh from Florida in 2018 where my son had ABA, OT and ST. He tested out of therapy because they said he met the requirements. I knew in my heart that he wasn’t finished. So I was referred to Abilitations in Knightdale and my son was assigned to his Speech Therapist and Occupational Therapist. I loved the way they worked with him and the confidence he gained because of the two different types of therapy he was receiving. I felt completely at ease sitting in the lobby while he went back to his therapies by himself. Even during the beginning of the pandemic, we still attended and I sat in the car when he went in for his therapy services. My son graduated from OT as someone who couldn’t fully use utensils or button his shirt to now someone who can do all those things and more…he can tie his shoes! He learned to tie his shoes before my niece who is 2 months older and doesn’t have special needs. He also made so much progress with his speech. If I look at the videos of him talking 4 years ago to now, I can hear the progress in his speech. He has also now graduated from speech. My therapists have told me if he needed to come back, to not hesitate to reach out. Everyone was professional and the therapists were always so sweet and great. This place is awesome!
Abilitations has helped me a lot over the years. The way they trained me when I was first getting started to now has been very helpful for what I am able to do with all my challenges.” – A 25 yr old patient with cerebral palsy
There are not enough good words to say about the strides Cece has made since starting to work with her Speech Therapist. I know we still have such a long way to go, but we can now understand more of what she is saying daily. She has taken extra time to discuss Cece with the speech therapists at school to make sure they are on a united front. I can tell how dedicated she is to Cece’s success and communication. Overall, I have recommended Abilitations to any and everyone who may need a children’s therapy center. The dedication of your team to your patients is obvious every time we are there. I count you all among my blessings for helping me help Cece reach her full potential. Thank you so very much!
