Abigael Gorman

Abby ​is an occupational therapist in our Cary office.  She earned her Bachelor’s in Psychology with a minor in Science from East Carolina University and received her Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from Russell Sage College in 2025.

Her experience working with children began in a preschool setting during high school, which sparked her interest in the field. She has ​also served as a Direct Support Professional, working with individuals diagnosed with autism and Duchenne muscular dystrophy.

During her clinical rotations, Abby gained experience in both preschool and hospital environments. In her preschool rotation, she focused on sensory regulation, fine motor development, and handwriting support. In the hospital setting, she worked across med-surg and ICU floors, supporting patients with complex medical needs.

Abby is dedicated to the pediatric population and utilizes a client-centered, play-based approach. She prioritizes building strong rapport with each child to create a supportive environment that fosters growth and independence.

Outside of work, Abby enjoys spending her time outdoors, particularly fishing.
