Allison is from Chapel Hill, North Carolina, and received her B.S. in Psychology and Family and Consumer Sciences from Meredith College in Raleigh, NC. After several years of working with preschool children with autism, Allison chose to pursue her Master’s in Speech and Language Pathology from UNC-Chapel Hill.
Allison has experience working with children of all ages and a variety of diagnoses, including autism spectrum disorder (ASD), genetic disorders, expressive/receptive language disorders, articulation disorders, hearing loss, and feeding/swallowing disorders. During graduate school, Allison received specialized training in working with children with co-occurring hearing loss and developmental disabilities, the evaluation of ASD, and spent time training in the NICU and PICU with infants and young children with feeding difficulties and TBIs.
Allison loves a child-led approach to therapy and enjoys collaborating with other professionals for a well-rounded approach to patient care. In her free time, Allison enjoys spending time with friends and family, visiting coffee shops, golfing, and going to the beach.
