Masters in Occupational Therapy

Kimberly graduated from Nova Southeastern University with a Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy in 2010. Her career journey began at a skilled nursing and rehabilitation center in Hollywood, Florida, where she dedicated over three years to practicing her newly acquired skills. Subsequently, she expanded her expertise during an almost four-year tenure at an acute care hospital in south Florida, where she gained even more valuable clinical experience. Relocating from sunny South Florida to charming North Carolina in 2017, Kimberly finally transitioned to pediatrics and has never looked back. She dedicated nearly five years to refining her skills in the dynamic educational setting of the Wake County Public School System.  Beyond this setting, Kimberly further enriched her pediatric experience with an additional two years at a private clinic, where she served in clinics, homes, daycares, and charter schools.

As a compassionate and skilled pediatric occupational therapist, Kimberly is dedicated to enhancing the lives of her patients through play-based therapy, self-regulation, and co-regulation management, among other interventions tailored to meet each client’s unique needs and strengths. Kimberly has worked with a diverse range of children, addressing diagnoses including but not limited to Sensory Processing Disorder, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Cerebral Palsy, chromosomal disorders, developmental delays, fine and gross motor delays, visual-motor integration issues, and learning disabilities. Her genuine passion for working with children is evident, and she takes great pleasure in collaborating and building connections with them and their caregivers to ensure the best possible outcomes. Committed to personal and professional development, Kimberly continues to actively expand her knowledge base through continuous education courses and training in order to stay current with the most up-to-date intervention strategies.

Kimberly’s core values are her relationship with her family, friends and with God. She enjoys trips to the beach, Pilates, bowling, and hikes.
