Shannon Carver

Shannon holds a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise and Sports Science from UNC-Chapel Hill. She furthered her education at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) in Richmond, Virginia, where she earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2024. During her time at VCU, Shannon’s dedication and potential were recognized with the A.D. Williams Award, which celebrates students who excel academically and professionally and show great promise in the field of physical therapy.

Shannon has experience in evaluating and treating children with a range of conditions, including orthopedic injuries, autism spectrum disorder, cerebral palsy, torticollis, toe walking, and developmental delays. Her clinical rotations at VCU also provided her with valuable exposure to aquatic therapy and the opportunity to observe serial casting.

Outside of her professional pursuits, Shannon enjoys spending quality time with her family and friends, playing with her kitten, traveling, and exploring new restaurants and coffee shops in the local area.
